FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) is a method in which follicles are extracted individually from the back and sides of the scalp with micro punches and placed into thinning areas. There is no linear incision and no stitches; large areas can be planned in a single session.

How is it done?

Consultation and drawing
Donor density is measured, the hairline is drawn on your face and confirmed only with your approval.

Graft extraction
Under local anaesthesia, grafts are extracted one by one with 0.7–0.9 mm punches and kept in a holding solution.

Channel creation
Micro channels are opened in the recipient area to match the natural direction and angle of hair.

Placement
Single-hair grafts form the front line and multi-hair grafts sit behind it for a natural transition.
Recovery timeline
Days 1–3
Mild swelling and tenderness are possible. The first wash is done at the clinic.
Days 7–14
Scabs fall away and redness fades noticeably.
Weeks 2–8
Some transplanted hairs shed temporarily (shock loss).
Months 3–6
New hairs emerge fine and gradually thicken.
Month 12
The lasting result settles; the crown can take up to 18 months.

How many grafts can be transplanted with FUE?
The number that can be extracted in one session depends on your donor density. To protect the donor area the physician never exceeds a safe limit; the exact number is set at the examination.
Does FUE leave scars in the donor area?
There is no linear scar. With very short hair, tiny dot-like marks may be visible up close; with even distribution they are hidden by hair.
Do I need to shave my head completely?
Classic FUE requires trimming the donor and recipient areas. If you prefer an unshaven option, DHI can be considered.
